55 Flash Fiction Friday: The Old Fashioned Way

We looked at each other feeling hot under the collar. "I'm sorry," I said. I knew what I had to do. "It looks like your sister got both of us," I said reaching in the drawer. "I'm going to have to do this the old fashioned way." "Waaahhhhhhh!" she cried as her temperature was taken.

  20. I did a lot of temperatures the old fashioned way as an RN for 45 years...and, it never ceases to amaze me how far we have come since I was a student nurse, in that arena and many others.
