"So I hit him because he was getting on my nerves" the little kid said. The adult looked at him.incredulously and said," Oh, that is an idea. I think I am going to start hitting everyone who bothers me." The little kid looked very confused.Then the adult remembered.
Second graders don't get sarcasm.

"I don't know if I can ever get past this," I said. "Why can't you move on?" you asked. "I don't know if they could ever make it up to me," I said sighing. "Listen, they aren't making film for your polaroid anymore. It's time to let go of that camera and throw it out."

After two days spent in the same harbor the ships were back to just passing by each other for a few hours every night. One ship took on water and started sinking. The other ship threw out a line of rescue. "I won't let you down again," the rescuing captain said to the sinking boat.

Trick or treat
Smell my feet
Give me something good to eat

Rhymes chanted off on the run
Kids dressed up having fun
Knocking at doors asking for some

All grown up now and feeling old
I don't ask you for candy so bold
I just go to buy it where it's sold

Somehow it just doesn't taste quite as good
As Halloween candy asked for both polite and rude
So I find myself knocking at your door in a mood


Trick or treat
